My Speech

Today I did an entertainment speech on Girls' Reactions. Some things that I could improve upon would be more eye contact, I could also know the speech better, practice more. I excelled in being loud enough, making people laugh, and having great posters.

Speech Class

I am doing pretty well in this class like an 85 or something like that. I do expect to do better in the next term, I expect to have a grade in the 90's. The things I have enjoyed in this class would be the activities Mrs. B has us do and how she has us involved in a lot of hands on things. Some things I have not enjoyed is writing speeches, especially ones where you have to research. Hey mom and dad!! I would just like to tell you that you are awesome and thank you for all your help!!

My thoughts on this whole thing are it is their site they can do what they want. But I also agree that they should have sent out an email or something to tell everyone that they were changing their terms of use. I also think that if people don't want things seen or changed or kept then they shouldn't put them on the internet. Once something is on the internet it is on there forever, so I don't know why people are complaining. They need to get over it and stop being big babies about it.

How Technology Has Impacted My Life

Technology has impacted my life in many ways. Here are some ways it has impacted my life. If I didn't have technology I wouldn't be able to keep up and keep in contact as easy as I do with my grandparents in Arizona. Also with technology I wouldn't be able to do the cool things with pictures or talk to my friends on the internet instead of calling them and wasting my parents phone bill. I just think technology is great and has really made a big impact on the whole world.

Favorite Baseball Team

Today our challenge is to check on our favorite baseball teams schedule and see how we think their season will go. Well my favorite team is the Chicago Cubs, yes I know they are not very good but that is who I have grown up watching. Well I think the Cubs are going to do pretty well. Well I hop they do pretty well anyways. But I have faith in my team. So here is the site to see their schedule.

Current Event

Today for our blog challenge we had to choose a current event and I chose the Chris Brown fiasco. What happened with this is that Brown was reported to have hit or hurt a woman who everyone thinks is his girlfriend Rihanna. They say that this happened in his car and then the woman go out. Brown said he is very sorry and deeply saddened by this and is receiving counseling from his pastor, mother and other close family friends. Here is the link to a little bit about it. My thoughts about this are I think people need to mind their own business and let couples have their fights in private and not splash them all over the news for everyone to know about. A Problem in My Life

A problem I have in my life right now would be college. I can't decide really what one I want to go to. My choices are between Northeast and Southeast Community Colleges. I would like to have the opportunity to live in Lincoln and see what it's like and I think I would just like Lincoln. But I also don't want to move far from my family since they all live so close and are all in the same town. I would miss them.

But I think a way to resolve this problem is to sit down and talk with my family to see what to do and to also see if they would agree with me moving to Lincoln, on my own to start a new life and see what else is out there. What I mean by out there would be anything other than my small country town that I live in now.

My Valentines Day Plans...

Well hmm...since Saturday is Valentines Day I really don't know what I am doing. So far all I have planned is to go out to eat with my cousin Cassie. Considering I don't have a boyfriend I wouldn't have plans anyway. So I think I am just going out to eat with my cousin and then maybe to a movie because I have no life. I think Valentines Day is kind of depressing anyway. I think its just a day to make people who don't have boyfriends or aren't married to feel depressed because they have no one to spend the day with.

If I Were A Food What Would I Be and Why?

If I were a food I would probably have to say I would be pizza. The reason I would probably be pizza is because pizza is pretty much my favorite food and it is really yummy. I also would like to be a pizza because most of the time they are warm unless you put it in the fridge, and I like to be warm because I am cold. I just think I would like to be pizza because it is like the best food ever and it is warm, and cheesy. All in all it is just DELICIOUS!!!!

If I Were A Superhero...

If I were a superhero I would have the ability to fly, I would be very strong and I would have X-Ray vision. I would have these abilities so I could keep myself safe and not let myself get harmed. I would like to be a superhero because I would be able to help others, not just myself and try to help make the world a better place.

I think being a superhero would be fun because I really wouldn't have to worry about getting in trouble because I would be helping others try to stay out of trouble. I would also like to be a superhero because I could have cool clothes that matched and had some type of logo on it. Oh yea, and the clothes would be pink. I just think it would be fun to be a superhero and be able to do all the stuff like Superman.

Digital History

For my digital history project I chose Brad Pitt. For the past information I would use his rise to fame. For his present material I am going to use how he goes to refugee camps now with his wife. And for the future information I am going to say how he will more than likely keep making movies.

7 Choices I Made Over the Weekend...

Here are seven choices I made over the weekend:
1. I decided to go to Lincoln on Friday night. It was a good choice.
2. I decided to go shopping in Lincoln. Kind of a good choice, I spent too much money.
3. I went bowling in Norfolk on Saturday. Good choice.
4. I went to eat at Burger King on Saturday night. Bad choice I need to stop eating Burger King.
5. I went out to eat at Hilltop for my aunts birthday on Sunday. Good choice, they have good food.
6. I went shopping with my aunt after we ate. Good choice, it made me tired so then I could take a nap.
7. I went to Kerstan's house on Sunday night to show her and her mom my senior pictures. Good choice because then I got rid of some of my pictures!!

A Night on the Town as....

If I were going out I would before I left get ready, which would consist of me taking a shower, blow drying my hair, straightening my hair, doing my make up. That would actually take me about two hours to get ready. I then would go to Norfolk and meet with my friends. I would go see Kylee and Trent and pick up Aaron. We then would go out to eat and then to a late movie, after that we would go over to a friends house and hang out, yes I know that's late but hey I'm a teenager I like to be out late. I would then go home or either stay at a friends house and go to sleep.

When I would go out I would take a shower and then go to Moe's Bar and meet Carl and Lenny. I would then go to the Kwiki Mart and get some candy. I would then finally end up back at home really drunk with Marge waiting at home to yell at me for being drunk and stupid.

Well having a brother I would probably say I would take a shower, maybe gel my hair it depends what I feel like doing with my hair that night. I then would go meet up with my friends or go pick them up it depends whatever happens, happens. I would go out and go to a friends house and hang out there. I would see people from my school like maybe Shawn and Blake HAHA!!! Then we would go and have a good time. I would then return home and go to sleep finally!!

My night out on the town in the 1950s would be I would get ready. I would take a shower, do my hair and put a little make up on. I would then wait for Kellie and Kerstan to pick me up. We would then go to the carnival that was in town and ride some rides. After the carnival we would go to ice cream shop and get some ice cream. After the ice cream they would drop me off at home and I would then again go to bed.

For me I would not have to get ready to go anywhere!! THANK GOD!!! I would find some of my friends, who are they? That I do not know I find new ones all the time since all my other friends either get eaten or captured. We then go and swim around for awhile until we see a net in the water which scares us and makes us swim away faster. I finally get to the place I call home and go rest there and hopefully stay safe from harm.

Once again I would not have to get ready!!! THANK GODNESS!!! It takes so long to get ready!!! I would change my loin cloth so I would hopefully look cleaner and smell more clean. I would wait for my date whomever that may be to pick me up. We would then go out and eat wild animals and have a nice evening. He would then return me to my cave and I would go to sleep.

My Goals

My goals I have pretty much achieved. I will end up graduating in May and I haven't gotten it back yet but I am pretty sure I will be accepted to college. So yes I have pretty much achieved my goals because everything has fallen into place for me. And one of them is pending, which would be the college one because I haven't gotten my acceptance letter back yet.

Speech Class

I think speech class is a very good class and that everyone should take it. I think speech is a good class because this class teaches people how to talk properly and be able to talk in big groups or even give a speech. Speech is a good class because everyone that comes out of this class almost every time can now usually talk in big groups and talk to almost anyone. I like speech also just because it is a fun class and everyone gets to just have fun in this class. Speech is also just a good class because then nobody is afraid to talk to just anybody and not even shake and be scared. This class is also just really fun and gets you to express yourself even more and just be yourself and have fun.

My Favorite Sport

My favorite sport would have to be softball. I like softball because I get to run and just have fun. I have many reasons why I like softball. One of those reasons is that during the summer when you are bored and have nothing to do, you can play softball. I also like that I get to travel to many different places and get to know new people. I also like softball because I would get to go on weekend long tournaments and play softball all weekend. Another reason why I like softball is because my parents made me quit when I didn't want to so now I really miss the game. I like this game because i get to be with my friends and I just get a rush out of playing the game and hitting the ball. My favorite part of softball I would have to say would be sliding. I liked sliding because I was good at it. So there are many reasons why I like softball. One thing I don't like about it though is that I would have to play in the heat a lot.

Computers

Well first of all in our school we have the one to one computer program where every student is assigned a laptop computer. To me in some ways I think it is alright but in other aspects I hate them. Some of the reasons I like them is because then the teachers don't have to take us to computer labs to get on the internet or we dont' have to go anywhere else but the room and you can listen to music while you work on your homework. But some reasons why I don't like them is because almost every website that one would want to go to is blocked. They block music sites, facebook and myspace, and if you need to research something on a topic for school almost always something is blocked. Also you need to lug these things around everywhere and if they are not with you they are in your locker which needs to be locked, another hastle to many. To me I think they were a waste of money when you can do your homework the old fashioned way and use paper and pencil. One more reason I do not like these computers is because they need to be fully charged and if you accidentally leave it in the commons area in our school you are automatically served a detention. To me they are a waste of time and money because you can't really do anything on them but type on Word for homework and do a little bit of research.

My Wish

A wish I have would be to go to either Paris or Rome. The reason I have this wish is because my grandparents have been all over and say that they have had great experiences where they went. I also have this wish because I would like to see how other cultures work and I would like to vacation somewhere other than a different place in the United States. I would like to visit one of these places because they just seem so interesting to me. I would just like to fly over the ocean and go somewhere where nobody knows me and just see all the things I have never seen before. Also from pictures I have seen these Paris and Rome look like beautiful places.

My Favorite Book

I would have to say that my favorite books are the Twilight saga. The reason why I like these books is because they are very interesting and also very good at the same time. I like how the author Stephenie Meyer talks about vampires eventhough they are not real. I like these books because she kept me interested in them and once you get to reading them you just can't stop, you have to keep going to see what comes next. I like these books because for once someone is not talking about real life problems really, they are talking about other things. I also like this book because she makes the characters sound intersting and she makes you visualize what they look like and to me i visualized that they were very good looking.

School Lunches

To me I think school lunches aren't really that great. Don't get me wrong there are some days that the lunches are good but that doesn't happen very often. If it were up to me I think I would have other food places come in on different days like some schools have and bring food for the students and if that is what the students wanted to eat then they had to pay for that. My favorite school lunch would be fiestadas. I like them because they just taste good to me. I personally think that most school lunches are not really all that good and the students should get to pick what the school has for lunch that day.

My Favorite Class

For me I would have to say my favorite class is Strength and Fitness. The reason I like Strength and Fitness is because this class helps you get into shape and its a really fun class. Another reason I like this class is because most of the kids in my class make it fun and interesting as does my teacher. I like it because you get to lift weights but also sometimes the teacher doesn't notice so you don't really have to do anything, that is if the teacher isn't watching. The one thing good about this class is that there are also girls in it. Most people would think only guys take this class but that is not true at my school , we actually have a lot of girls that take this class. Although I can't lift that much I still like this class. One other reason I like this class is because the teacher makes out sheets for each student to follow on what to lift and how much to lift, I like this because he makes them out for each individual student. I like this class because it helps people get into shape and feel better about themselves.

What I Want to Do After High School

After I graduate high school or as others would say when I grow up I would like to become either an RN or a Medical Transcriptionist. I want to be one of these because I want to work in the medical field and help people. I think I would rather be an RN because it is more hands on helping people and because my mom was a nurse and I think it would be fun to be on also. If that doesn't work out for me then a Medical Transcriptionist because I like to work with computers and I am good at typing. Either way I see it as helping people and thats really all I want to do and I think either one of these jobs could help me do that in different ways. I think I would like to be an RN also because yes they do mak a lot of money and it is a stable job because they are in need of help in the medical field

Barack Obama's Speech

I thought Obama's speech was very good. Obama did a very good at addressing the people, he has a very strong and powerful voice. I thought Obama did a very good job with pausing in between words for people to reflect on what he said and truly understand and get what he was saying. I also thought that Obama was very well dressed and thought he looked very good. I also thought that Obama did a very good job at getting the attention of the crowd, he really got the crowds attention and they listened very well to what he had to say. I liked how he also thanked George W. Bush for being generous through this whole thing.

My Favorite Place I've Been

I would have to say the most favorite places I have ever been would be Arizona. When I was in third grade we traveled to Arizona to see my grandparents. On the way to Arizona we also go to see the Four Corners, the Royal Gorge, and also the Grand Canyon. But while we were in Arizona we got to go to a lot of places and go shopping and eat. My favorite part of Arizona would be that it was warm the whole time we were there and very nice out. While there we also saw homeless people and it was sad. But I would have to say that is my favorite place to go and I would love to go again soon!!!

My Goals

Some goals I have for myself this year would be to graduate high school and go to college. I plan to get my nursing degree and hopefully get a good job. While in college I plan to go and get my CNA lisence so I have a little insight into how the nursing field works. My mom thinks that I won't like the nursing field because she doesn't like it, but we are two totally different people, so I am pretty sure I will like it. One of my other goals for this year is to lose weight, how much? That I do not know hopefully a lot. By the end of March I plan to have lost at least 20 pounds so I look good in my prom dress. For this week my goal is to have all one hundred's in my classes. For the term my goal is to have 90's or higher in all my classes. My goal for the month is to do the best I can in school and get A's and B's in my classes.

Infomercials

Today we have so many infomercials. One of the ones i see the most on TV would be the vegetable cutter. To tell you the truth I think those people are annoying. One of the infomercials I saw on vegetables cutters would be where you put down the vegetable on a cutting board and place the cutter over top of the vegetable and cut. You can either cut once and have bigger slices and or keep cutting and have really small slices. With this infomercial they try to sell this cutter to you for what they think is not so much money when actually the thing is usually a piece of junk. They run these infomercials most of the time all night and they get really annoying. I HATE INFOMERCIALS!!!

My Weekend

This weekend I really didn't do much of anything. Friday night I sat at home with my family since we had some bad weather and watched movies. Saturday I had to work during the day and then I went out to eat with my cousin and then went and watched movies with some friends. Sunday I had to work in the morning and then I went and helped my mom clean my grandmas house. I then went out to eat at Pizza Hut with a friend and then I went home and did homework. Like I said I had a very boring weekend!!!

About Me

Hi I'm Brittney Brown and I am a senior at Pierce High School. I am 18 years old and I will graduate on May 9, I am really excited!! I have two brothers and Brandon and Tanner and one sister Tiffany. My parents are Kevin and Margo. I have two nephews Mason and Carter and one niece Makenzie who are very energetic and wear me out!! I love to go to the movies, hang out with friends and go to the races. The reason I am writing this is because it is a 30 Day Challenge from my speech teacher.
